MORE ABOUT ANDREW

What is your name and job title?

I'm Andrew Walker, Shop Manager and Metal Fusion Technician at Forge 53°.

What are your primary responsibilities at Forge 53°?

I oversee the day-to-day activities of the shop, handling problem-solving, inventory management, and making sure everything runs smoothly.

How long have you been with Forge 53°, and what led you to join the company?

I’ve been with Forge 53° for a little over five years. A good friend recommended the job to me, and though I was nervous about meeting the owners, we spent the day working together, and it was so much fun that I knew it was the perfect fit.

What do you enjoy most about working at Forge 53°?

The team is fantastic, and the atmosphere is really chill and fun. Even with the daily challenges, I feel more relaxed here than at any other job I’ve had.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?

I love spending time outdoors—camping, hunting, and fishing are some of my favourite activities. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and our pets, and I like to unwind with some gaming.

What’s your favourite project you’ve worked on at Forge 53°?

The Michigan project was one of my favourites. It was an incredible opportunity to see a project through from start to finish, and I got to travel to the U.S. for the first time. We shared some great experiences and jokes during the trip that we’ll always remember.

What motivates you to do your best work every day?

Frank brings the wings.
